We’ll have four tables of ten players each. There are two blackjack tables and two Texas Hold’em Poker tables. Seating for each game is first come, first served to registered participants.

When and where is Casino Night?

Tuesday 25th October 20:30 CET at a private Nosana Game Room in Gather.Town.

What games will be available?

Blackjack and Texas Hold’em Poker.

Where can I register?

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScNScpRakgZGDU8xPJltPyvIrDvD2ObwcFKz9FFvNTpW2CZTw/viewform Note: once registration is full, a confirmation email will go out to all registered participants letting them know they’re set for the event.

What if I want to play both games?

Because we know that poker games take much longer to play than blackjack, we’re playing 20 rounds at each blackjack table. When they’re done, we’ll check to see if any of the poker games have ended and give you the option to move tables.

It is also possible, depending on how long each game takes, that you won’t be able to switch tables. This is because we’ve allocated 1 hour in total for the Casino Night event, so if the poker games don’t finish in time to begin a new one, the possibility of changing tables (for both blackjack and poker) won’t be there. We suggest arriving early and grabbing a seat at the table with the game you want to play the most.

Where is my table?

The two tables on your left will be blackjack tables, and the two on your right will be for Texas Hold’em Poker. You will see signs for this when you arrive at the game room.

Can I simply spectate if I’m not in the mood for playing anymore?

Absolutely! You can simply enter an area by moving your avatar with your keyboard and into the black rug surrounding each table, you’ll be able to see and speak with the rest of the people in that private area and spectate the game by clicking “x”.

What are the rules for each of the games?

Blackjack: To begin, when you join one of the blackjack tables and get a seat, simply click “x”. This will take you to the game. When you’re in, you need to create an account with your Discord handle so we can keep track of winners. Then, you need to click in one of the circles next to the host to get a seat. Don’t worry, we’ll walk you through it once you’re there.

  • General rules
Before gameplay begins, every player makes a bet. The dealer then passes out one card face-up to each player, including themselves. Next, for the other players, the dealer passes out one more card face up; for themselves, the dealer gets one more card face down.
  • Ranking of Cards
2s through 10s and worth their pip value. Face cards are worth 10. Aces are worth 1 or 11, depending on which helps the player more.
  • How to Play
After the initial two cards are dealt, players have two default options to choose from: They can either ‘hit’ (request an additional card) or they can ‘stand’ (keep their current hand). Players should select the option that gets their hand as close to 21 as possible without going over. If their hand exceeds 21, they automatically lose their bet. If their hand is 21 or under, then they are competing with the dealer on whose closest.
  • Winning
All players start with 1000 coins for their balance and compete across 20 rounds to amass as many coins as they can. At the end of 20 rounds, the player with the highest number of coins wins the game.

Texas Hold’em Poker: When you arrive at one of the Poker tables on your left side, take a sit and click “x”. A table will open for you with 10 seats, be sure to request one with your Discord handle, again to keep track of winners. Once the host has accepted you, the game will begin.

  • General Rules
Texas Hold’em is a betting game where players try to get the best five-card-hand from their two hole cards and the five community cards. Aces are high and 2s are low. Ties can be broken by the kicker, the players’ next highest card.
  • How to Play

Pre-flop After players receive their two cards, a round of betting occurs, beginning with the player left of the right blind. In rounds of betting, players can either call (match the previous bet), raise (make a higher bet than the previous one), fold (resign from the deal/round), or check (pass on betting).

Flop After the Pre-flop, the dealer burns one card (discards one card face-down on the table) and places the next three cards face-up in the center of the gameplay area. These are community cards. A round of betting occurs based on the best combination players can make with their hole cards and the community cards.

Turn After the flop, the dealer burns another card and follows that by placing a fourth card face-up on the table. A round of betting occurs in a similar fashion.

River After the turn, the dealer burns another card and follows that by placing a fifth and final card, called a river, face up on the table. A final betting round occurs similarly.

Showdown After the river, any remaining players must reveal their hole cards. The player with the best possible five-card hand rank wins the pot. If only one player is left, they automatically win the pot and don’t have to reveal their cards.

  • Winning

All players start with the same point balance and compete over deals/rounds to amass as many coins as they can or eliminate other players (when they run out of points). The player with the highest number of points or the last player standing wins the game.

When will I know if I won?

After the night is over, the hosts (team) will gather the results of the tables together and determine the winners. Winners will be announced within 2 days and receive their Mint Passes in their wallets within the same week.

Good luck to you all and see you very soon for a very fun night!
